Shen Wei has established himself as a pioneer and visionary in contemporary performing and visual arts, and received acclaim for choreographing the Opening Ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The artist brings his company to YBCA for an interactive multimedia performance entitled Undivided Divided. This new work is a performance installation in which a grid of 16 squares is inhabited by eight dancers. Audience members are invited to stroll amongst moving “displays” of painted performers, projected videos and sculptural installations for a unique immersive experience. Running time: 35 minutes.
