Chinese Opera fundraiser to benefit Gum Moon Women’s Residence/Asian Women’s Resource Center

Harmony Chinese Musical Center (Hang Yuen) will feature 7 short plays taken from Cantonese opera classics. Particular program highlights will include the following: “Divine Match by a Red Leaf,” “Bloodshed in Wèi-yang Palace: The Taking Down of General Hán Xin,” and “Royal Couple’s Bicker: Spoiled Princess Getting the Slap”.

Gum Moon Women’s Residence and the Asian Women’s Resource Center (AWRC) was established to address the unmet needs of women and children in socioeconomic and geographic transition by providing comprehensive bilingual and bicultural support services for Asian immigrant women and families with children and youth ages 0-18.
